A new tiebreaker has been introduced which takes into account the distance from bulmershe and the distance from ME. There are public meetings proposed at ME and St Crispins. Although the agreement specifically says in section 3.4 "the sum of £90,000 (increased in the same manner as is provided for in clause 3.1) as a contribution towards the future <strong>upkeep and maintenance</strong> of the Open Space Land". The actual sum paid in 2007 was £122,504.97 - so this money has been used to build the track and the cost of maintenance will now be covered by Earley Town Council i.e. council tax paid by all of us - and there <strong>WILL</strong> be a real cost no matter how ETC try and wriggle out of it...
